Under the guidance of their SIP Mentor Mrs. Judith Kabukie Ocansey, Mindshift Inc., comprising Abena Tenewaa Omari, Sylvia Emefa Seamegbe, Akua Aduwaa Brifo, and Deladem Kofi Fiakeye, is spearheading “Project Mindshift.” This project aims to empower African youth by fostering cultural pride, self-esteem, and historical understanding through engaging interactive learning and storytelling methods. The team has already delivered identity and leadership workshops in three schools and established a blog highlighting African history. Looking ahead, they intend to create educational apps, a YouTube channel, student clubs, and Afrocentric comics, and are currently seeking support in the form of publication funding, comic artists, and story writers to realize their vision of impactful African-centered educational materials.
